In Canada, or at least the way I practice, the optometrist and the Laser Surgeon work closely together to ensure that your progress is monitored every step of the way. I am your doctor and there for you. I'll check your progress independently from the laser surgeon, so your actual results after treatment, are measured in a totally non bias way.
Steps
Before anything is done, your eyes are examined thoroughly. Only then once you vision health is certified can we proceed with Laser treatment. Once the surgery is completed, I perform a follow-up exam where you and I, rate the success of the laser treatment. Only once everything checks out, are you free to go and "see" the town if you wish. With this type of surgery your eye(s) heals extremely quickly. You will see a noticeable difference in a very short time.
I will ensure that your schedule for these procedures are as convent as possible for you. If you want to work with a local optometrist near you prior to arriving here, let me know and I can work with that person and schedule the laser treatment and post checkup for the same day.
