     | The City of Festivals!Montreal has been called "the city of festivals" and with good reason. All during the summer months, starting at the end of June, the city is transformed into the backdrop of any number of street events. I've highlighted the most popular or "known" events that occur here each year, but in addition to these main stays be aware that there are an even greater number of street fairs, art galas, no to mention all the permanent events like LaRonde, the Casino, the antiques shops "Notre Dame", the Architecture, Chinatown, the Mountain "Mount Royal", the Biodome, Exotica "you know", Museums, Live Theatre, the food, fine Cuban cigars, walk through history, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
